Beautiful piece. It made me think of a podcast I heard with Norman Lear, who went through some very nigh highs and some very low lows in his life. He named his autobiography Even This I Get to Experience. Rather than focus on regrets, he saw the value and fortune in the hard times. To a degree, I’m sure that’s the beauty of hindsight, but even just trying to maintain that attitude during the rough patches or missed opportunities we all have has a therapeutic effect. It can be much easier said than done, but we can generally choose whether to wallow in regret or wiggle out of the mud and keep plugging.
Thank you for your encouraging words. I have struggled and struggled with regret. But God revealed to me that He took care of it all on my behalf. I'm one of those people that has to go through the process and feel it all. You are right! We do have a choice. Most days, I am choosing to keep plugging.
Yes, what a time it was! Park days, museum days, picnics, hikes for us, but the memories are precious and like you said, hard, waiting for nap time, bed time, just for a break; but oh so much simpler. Glad you watched the short clip, I was hoping it resonated.
It was quite a time. And it flew by like a breath. It was there and then it was gone. The clip was amazing. It hit home. I reached out to the people who wrote it to encourage them. One simple thing can impact a person.
Encouraging and we must take lessons from this words and strengthen ourselves as God lives seed time and harvest time will not stop. Life is no easy but with God we can escape the walls of this life.

A great reminder “rather than focus on regrets, see value and fortune in the hard times”
Yes! This has all been used in my life. Nothing wasted.

I loved this, thank you for sharing! I'm 29 this year and I have never been a nostalgic person, but I have been thinking on the past more than ever.
Writings like these are great cause it helps us to see another perspective and helps to think through our own past days as well!
