I know there have been times when Jesus asks me this question or something similar, sometimes I just make excuses. It’s because of this or that. But in those moments I know I’m just hiding something like I just don’t want to do what it would take to actually take the steps! This man at least got right up! I never saw the moment afterwards though either. Sometimes, we DO move and then we slip right back into walking separately from Him again! This was so good … so eye opening!

Thank you! Only God! We all struggle but there's so much to learn when we really meditate on these passages we have read so many times!

Thanks. Yes, I want to get well. It's time to pick the mat and go.

That question—“Do you want to get well?”—hits so differently when you really sit with it. Because sometimes healing means letting go of things we’ve carried so long they’ve almost become part of who we are. The mat may be familiar, but Jesus is still saying, “Get up.”

I think that’s what gets me most… He doesn’t just meet us in the place we’ve been stuck. He calls us out of it. And sometimes the hardest part is trusting Him enough to leave the mat behind. ❤️
